gambling Awareness
As part of my Gambling Awareness theme for my Degree show in 2025, I curated and directed a two minute gamble aware promotional video. I wanted to showcase the differences in feelings people share with gambling as I feel it is an addiction very little is presented in media and whenever I do its always the fault of the one addicted and never the companies. I loved the process and had made me fall in love with directing and i hope to create some more short films very soon. I couldn't have asked for better actors and equipment from De Montford University, even though like my soft touch video there are multiple things I would change it was a great life lesson and has taught me endless amounts when comes to video. I hoped it would reach the attention of Gamble Aware but sadly they said not at at the moment. But this has made me more strong to in the future create a video that a company would want to present that is about an issue I deeply care about.
soft touch
I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity Soft Touch Arts gave me in my final year of university. It came at a time where I found my art pivoting from still to moving image, where I still see myself to this day. We where only a team of two and at the start felt like we had been dropped into the deep end with very little external help, but in hindsight this was great for our growth with video. We learnt so much from the videography side to the editing as well as getting it all completed for a deadline. We where tasked to showcase 'A Million Ideas', a week long program Soft Touch run for children and young adults that don't have much to go back to when school is out over half term, I believe our video showcases that and the accomplishment of finishing both the art and musical side of it. There are parts I would have done differently if I was to do it again but this is invaluable for knowing moving forward in future work.
